FROM METRO

  • The Innovation Center is located on the Red line at the TAKOMA station.
  • After you exit the station, walk up Carroll Avenue two blocks (past the 7-11). The Innovation Center is on your left in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around, you’ll see it from the Metro platform).

DRIVING FROM DC METRO AREA POINTS

From the 495 Beltway:

  • Take “Langley Park, University Boulevard South” exit 29 (if coming from the West), exit 29-A (if coming from the East) off 495.
  • If coming from the East, you must make a U-turn on University Blvd. so that you are heading East.  If coming from the West, stay straight on University Blvd.
  • Drive 1.5 miles south on University Boulevard to Carroll Avenue.
  • Turn right on Carroll Avenue and proceed 1mile to the “T” intersection at the traffic light (You will see the TPSS Co-op).
  • Turn right at the light, which is still Carroll Avenue.
  • Follow Carroll Avenue for half a mile and continue as it makes a sharp right at a stoplight in “Old Town Takoma Park” (you’ll see a clock, church, and lots of shops).
  • The Innovation Center is a block-and-a-half up on your right in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around).

From the northwest (Bethesda/Silver Spring):

  • Take 410 (East-West Highway) all the way into Takoma Park.
  • When you reach the intersection with Carroll Ave., there will be a fire station directly in front of you and 410 will turn left, DON’T TAKE THE LEFT TURN.
  • Take a right onto Carroll Ave and follow it as it makes a right turn at a stoplight in “Old Town Takoma Park” (you’ll see a clock, church, and lots of shops).
  • The Innovation Center is a block-and-a-half up on your right in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around).

From the west (Military Rd.):

  • Make a left from Military Rd. onto 13th Street.
  • 13th Street will become Piney Branch Rd.
  • Take Piney Branch about 5 blocks past the Safeway and turn right onto Cedar St.
  • Cedar St. will become Carroll Ave. when you go under the railroad bridge.
  • The Innovation Center is across the street from CVS in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around)

From Downtown Washington, DC:

  • From 7th Street, it will turn into Georgia Ave.
  • After about 4 miles take a right onto Piney Branch Rd. (you will see a cluster of at least 4 gas stations by the intersection).
  • Take Piney Branch about 7 blocks and turn right onto Cedar St.
  • Cedar St. will become Carroll Ave. when you go under the railroad bridge.
  • The Innovation Center is across the street from CVS in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around).

FROM UNION STATION

  • From the AMTRAK platform, follow signs to the Metro platform on the lower level
  • Take the metro towards Glenmont or Silver Spring.
  • Get off at TAKOMA stop.
  • After you exit the station, walk up Carroll Avenue two blocks (past the 7-11). The Innovation Center is on your left in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around, you’ll see it from the Metro platform).

Reagan National Airport

DRIVING

  • Merge onto GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY N/GW PKWY NORTH.
  • Merge onto US-1 N toward WASHINGTON.
  • Stay straight to go onto 14TH ST NW.
  • Drive approximately 8 miles and turn right on Sheridan Street
  • Go 2 blocks and make a left on to Piney Branch Road, NW (Cross Georgia Avenue/97)
  • Stay straight on PINEY BRANCH RD NW for eleven blocks.
  • Turn right onto CEDAR STREET, NW.
  • Stay straight to go onto CARROLL STREET, NW.
  • Carroll Street, NW becomes CARROLL AVE/MD-195.
  • The Takoma Business Center will be on your left-hand side

METRO

  • Take the YELLOW line train towards MT. VERNON SQUARE/7TH STREET/CONVENTION CENTER
  • Get off at the Gallery Place/Chinatown stop and switch to the RED line
  • Take the RED line train towards GLENMONT or SILVER SPRING
  • Get off at the TAKOMA stop.
  • Walk up Carroll Avenue for two blocks (past the 7-11 store). The Innovation Center is on your left in the Takoma Business Center (It is the only ten-story building in the area).

Baltimore/Washington International (BWI)

DRIVING

  • From the Parking garage take I-195 WEST
  • Merge onto I-95 SOUTH via exit 4B towards WASHINGTON
  • Merge onto CAPITAL BELTWAY/ I-495 WEST via exit number 27 toward SILVER SPRING (This is a large split)
  • Take Exit 29 “LANGLEY PARK, UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD SOUTH”
  • Drive 1.5 miles south on University Boulevard to CARROLL AVENUE.

TRAIN and METRO

  • Take the free shuttle service to BWI RAIL STATION.
  • You can take the daily AMTRAK train ($30) or the weekday commuter MARC train ($6). Visit www.amtrak.com or www.mtamaryland.com/schedules/marc/ marc_schedule.cfm for schedules.
  • The AMTRAK and MARC trains stop at Union Station, which is also a stop on the Red line on the Metro.
  • Once you arrive at Union Station, follow signs to the Metro platform and take the metro towards Glenmont or Silver Spring.
  • Get off at TAKOMA stop.
  • After you exit the station, walk up Carroll Avenue two blocks (past the 7-11). The Innovation Center is on your left in the Takoma Business Center (only 10 story building around, you’ll see it from the Metro platform).

BUS

The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green line of the Washington Metro System. The cost is $2.50 each way and you must pay upon entering the bus with exact change .One-way trips between BWI and the Greenbelt stations take approximately 30-35 minutes, depending on traffic.   • Catch the BWI Express from BWI Airport. Go to the lower level of the International Pier. Follow the signs that say “Public Transit.” The B30 will pick you up outside at the bus shelter.
  • From the Greenbelt station, take the Green line train towards Branch Avenue.
  • Get off at the Fort Totten stop and transfer to the Red line. Take the train towards Glenmont or Silver Spring.
  • Get off at TAKOMA stop.

Dulles International Airport

DRIVING

  • Start out going EAST on AVIATION DR.
  • Turn left onto ramp.
  • Merge onto DULLES AIRPORT ACCESS RD.
  • Take the exit toward I-495/EXIT 18-19/VA-123/BALTIMORE/RICHMOND.
  • Merge onto VA-267 E (Portions toll).
  • Merge onto I-495 N/CAPITAL BELTWAY via exit number 18 toward BALTIMORE/BETHESDA MD.
  • Take “LANGLEY PARK, UNIVERSITY BOULEVARD SOUTH” exit 29 off 495 East or West
  • Drive 1.5 miles south on University Boulevard to CARROLL AVENUE.
  • Turn right on Carroll Avenue and approximately 3 miles until you reach a “T’ intersection with a traffic light
  • Turn right at the light, which is still Carroll Avenue. (You will see the TPSS Co-op).
  • Follow Carroll Avenue for half a mile and continue as it makes a sharp right at a stoplight in “Old Town Takoma Park” (you’ll see a clock, church, and lots of shops).

Washington Flyer Taxi

Washington Flyer Taxicabs serve Dulles International Airport exclusively with 24-hour service to and from the airport. Taxicab Dispatchers are on duty 24 hours a day at the East and West ramps on the lower level of the Main Terminal. Wheelchair mini buses only accommodate 1 chaired or disabled passenger and 3 additional non-chaired passengers. Smoking and non-smoking vehicles are available by request.
